HOW TO RECOVER A SMILE

IMPLANTS

Implantology restores lost teeth by implanting titanium structures. The dental implants are just like artificial roots that provide a solid base on which a crown or a prosthesis can be attached. They are surgically placed within the jaw bone just below the gum, and they allow the dentist to attach tooth replacements over them. Usually a fixed prosthesis is used as the preferable implant method, but according to specific cases, a different approach may be recommended, such as the use of a removable or semi-removable prosthesis.

A meticulous oral hygiene is essential to guarantee a long life span of the implants

The implants are however, and in general, the most costly form of dental replacement, but do assure the best and longest lasting results.

The clinical phases of treatment are:

 Clinical Exam and Diagnosis
 Surgery
 Prosthetics
 Maintenance

THE ADVANTAGES

This technique has great advantages:

It avoids the bone re-absorbance in the place where a tooth is missing.
It isn’t necessary to damage or deform any natural tooth.
 Comfortable when chewing.
It feels, functions and looks just like a natural tooth.

DENTAL PROSTHESIS

If a tooth is severely damaged or broken, or if several teeth are missing, a removable prosthesis, facets, crowns and bridges can be manufactured restoring the aesthetics and the sparkle to your smile.

REMOVABLE PROSTHESIS

Due to several factors, sometimes due to lack of teeth the patient cannot be treated with implants or fixed prosthesis. Although they are not so comfortable, the removable prosthesis can restore the patient’s dental functions and aesthetics in a very considerable way.

FACETS

Ceramic facets are a very effective method of correcting the aesthetics of frontal teeth. The materials used are very reliable, durable as well as very life-like.

COIFAS AND BRIDGES

When the lost dental structure is extensive, it is recommended to replace the whole of the tooth’s crown with an artificial crown. When several teeth are missing, the adjacent teeth can be prepared in order to support a bridge, thus replacing the missing teeth.
